Senior ABAP Developer

As Senior ABAP Developer you help shape and modernize the SAP landscape within Customer & Digital for Central Client Management. You contribute directly to stable, high?'quality systems that empower colleagues, improve processes, and strengthen our service to customers across NN.

You play a central role in designing, building and improving solutions across SAP ERP and SAP BP specifically. You combine deep technical expertise with a getting-things-done mentality in operations, ensuring that our systems run smoothly while continuously identifying ways to improve efficiency and quality.

You work in a Scrum team within CCM where collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning are key.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise ABAP code in a complex SAP landscape (SAP ERP/ SAP BP)
• Safeguard quality through clean code principles, peer reviews and automated checks
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions together with Product Owners, Tech Lead and QA engineers
• Support operational activities, analyse incidents and ensure structural improvements
• Look beyond SAP by considering the ecosystem around it (e.g. WSO2, Databricks, Splunk) and how integrations can contribute to better end?'to?'end flows

You bring:

• Extensive ABAP development experience with S4-HANA environments
• Knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP BP or SAP CRM (one or more)
• Experience in developing REST API's
• A keen eye for quality, with experience in structured and maintainable coding
• A pragmatic mindset in operations and incident handling
• Curiosity and an open mind toward integrations and surrounding technologies (WSO2, Databricks, Splunk - experience nice to have, not required)
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
