Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you are responsible for effectively executing the digital sales strategy within the Benelux region. You will directly help improve ABB’s market position and reach the growth targets for your territory.
On a daily basis, you work towards realizing both qualitative and quantitative digital sales targets. In doing so, you support sustainable order growth, revenue, margins, market share, sales productivity and customer satisfaction. You also play an important role in expanding our digital customer base.

Responsibilities- Sales & Business Development
- Identifying, qualifying and developing digital sales opportunities across industrial segments (Energy, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Water, Terminals and Food & Beverage).
- Achieving order intake, profitability and growth targets in line with ABB’s sales strategy.
- Applying value‑based selling and translating operational or business challenges into concrete, measurable customer value.
- Promoting ABB’s digital portfolio.
- Digital Solution Selling
- Positioning and selling ABB digital solutions, including:
- Asset Performance Management (APM)
- Energy Management & Optimization
- Cybersecurity (OT/IT)
- Advanced Analytics and AI/ML applications
- Terminal Management Solutions
- Explaining how digital solutions support the transition towards autonomous operations.
- Delivering presentations and demonstrations, translating technical concepts into clear business benefits.
- Customer Relationships & Account Management
- Establishing and preserving long-term, meaningful relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Acting as a trusted digital advisor with insight into both operational challenges and customers’ strategic objectives.
- Supporting account management by identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities across the Digital, Automation and Electrical portfolios.
- Ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the entire sales cycle.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Experience in solution selling within industrial digital solutions, automation systems or electrical/energy-driven technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in complex, consultative sales processes within industrial environments.
- Familiarity with modern sales tools such as CRM systems, pipeline management and reporting.
- In‑depth knowledge of digital industrial solutions and SaaS models, automation and control systems, and electrical and energy concepts in industrial environments.
- The ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling and business‑oriented communication for various audiences.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in stakeholder management, negotiation and presenting.
- An initiative‑taking, structured working style and the ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization.
