Medior Regulatory Compliance Consultant

As a Regulatory Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding our clients through the intricate world of regulatory compliance. You will leverage your expertise to develop, implement, and oversee robust compliance frameworks, ensuring our clients operate with integrity and in full accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Your strategic insights and proactive approach will be instrumental in safeguarding their reputation and fostering sustainable growth in a compliant way.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Drafting and implementing comprehensive compliance programs tailored to our clients' specific needs, including but not limited risk profile, relevant regulatory landscape market abuse, etc.

• Performing in-depth risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and establishing effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.

• Planning and executing internal audits, preparing detailed reports for both regulatory bodies and internal management, and ensuring timely remediation of any identified issues.

• Staying ahead of the curve by continuously monitoring and analyzing existing and new regulations, industry trends, and enforcement actions, and translating these insights into actionable strategies.

• Advise management on compliance-related matters and serve as a point of contact for regulatory compliance issues.

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for regulatory inquiries and directly engaging with regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders on behalf of our clients. We expect our consultants to bring in their own network to identify new opportunities and clients for our consultancy.

• Proactively identify and engage potential clients by leveraging your professional network, industry relationships, and market insights. Contribute to business development initiatives, and support the growth of our consultancy.

Education & qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • At least 7 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the financial sector and within regulatory compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and directives, such as PSD2, MiCAR, Wft, Wwft, and GDPR.
• Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast‑changing environment.
  • High level of integrity and a proactive attitude.
• Language: Strong communication skills, with fluency in Dutch (required) and excellent English (spoken and written).
• Availability:
  • You are available full‑time (contract based on 36 to 40 hours per week). Part‑time is negotiable.
  • You are able to live and work in the Netherlands, without Visa support from the Company.
  • We expect you to be in the office and/or at clients at least twice a week.
