Uber Eats delivers hundreds of thousands of orders each week across the Netherlands. Behind every delivery lies a sophisticated network of processes and algorithms designed to keep our operations running smoothly. These systems tackle challenges such as determining when to assign the right courier to each order, what delivery options we show to the customer and how we manage the logistics network.
In this role within the NL Operations team, you’ll be at the heart of solving these complex problems. Leveraging data-driven insights, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Commercial, Finance, Data Science, and Product—to drive operational excellence and deliver an exceptional experience for consumers, couriers, and merchants.
What You Will Do- Own key aspects of our NL Delivery operations - such as delivery times, courier performance, dispatch efficiency to ensure a seamless experience for consumers, couriers, and merchants.
- Partner with global product teams to shape, test, and launch new features (e.g. Enhanced matching algorithms, innovative customer propositions, machine learning models to improve courier efficiency).
- Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities to improve our operations, and bring these opportunities to life through experimentation and continuous optimisation.
- Build and optimise NL marketplace processes to ensure operational excellence (order batching logic, supply positioning, courier experience).
- Manage complex stakeholders across different teams and timezones, using insights to inform strategy and prioritisation.
- Quantitative degree in STEM, Economics or similar.
- 4-6 years of experience in operations/ analytics/ product, ideally within a tech or strategy consultancy firm.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to see the bigger picture as well as the important small details, in order to build compelling business cases to support recommendations.
- You can translate quantitative findings into action plans, with initiatives prioritised based on business benefits and risk.
- Robust data analysis and technical skills, including advanced SQL to source data from large, complex data sources.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively manage and communicate with senior-level stakeholders, building trust and influencing data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting data and plans to various audiences.
- Experience working with technical stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Data Scientist).
- Able to use Python to perform data analysis (e.g. Data manipulation, regression modelling, data visualisation).
- Industry Experience: Experience working with operational data within the logistics, e-commerce, or food delivery industries.
