For our headquarters in Amsterdam, we are looking for a highly organized and proactive Business Development Officer to join our Business Development team. This role is primarily focused on managing the end-to-end bid process, coordinating bid teams, and ensuring the timely creation of compliant, high-quality proposals and winning pitches.
As part of the central Business Development team in Amsterdam, you will play a crucial role in securing international architectural projects. You will collaborate closely with partners, directors, and design teams, requiring a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach, as well as the flexibility and enthusiasm to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

TeamYou will be part of the Strategic Development team, a global team based in Amsterdam, with strong ties to our international offices. The team of 21 professionals is responsible for brand positioning, communication, business development, content creation, media, and marketing. You will report to the Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities- Reviewing RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents to extract key requirements and develop clear bid strategies, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinating the complete bid process, managing input from internal design teams and external consultants to ensure a tailored and compliant response.
- Producing, editing, and formatting persuasive and detailed proposals tailored to specific clients and their unique needs.
- Managing all tender queries and clarifications in a highly professional manner.
- Liaising with external suppliers, vendors, and engineering sub‑consultants throughout the bid process to gather necessary documentation.
- Monitoring procurement portals regularly for new leads and relevant opportunities.
- Reviewing bid documents and compiling content from previous successful bids, utilizing our central bid library and best practice systems.
- Working closely with the wider international Business Development team to ensure the central bid library is kept up to date, bids are filed correctly, and unique questions are captured for future use.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in bid coordination, proposal management, or a similar field (Architecture, Engineering, or Real Estate preferred).
- University degree in Communications, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven track record in coordinating complex bids and producing winning proposals in competitive markets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a structured approach to project management.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive content for bids and supporting documentation.
- Experience with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce and OpenAsset, is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign) to format, design, and produce high‑quality bid documents.
- Stress resistance, self‑discipline, and a proactive, hands‑on mentality.
- Fluent (written and spoken) English is required; proficiency in Dutch or other languages is a strong advantage.
