About the RoleWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Buyer to join an industrial team. You will play a key role in analysing stakeholder needs, procuring materials and services, managing vendors, ensuring quality, and keeping stock levels optimal. You will also ensure compliance with procurement procedures and maintain clear reporting for senior management.
Key Responsibilities- Forecast needs to ensure timely procurement.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on capability, quality, reliability, and price. Negotiate contracts for tactical spends below $50K USD; collaborate with Regional Procurement Manager for higher spends.
- Place orders, track deliveries, and resolve procurement issues.
- Ensure all procured items meet standards and specifications.
- Work with the warehouse team to maintain stock levels and lead times.
- Prepare detailed procurement reports for senior management.
- Ensure accurate creation of POs, receipts, waybills, and warranties in Oracle. Follow up on quotations and escalates policy concerns.
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a buyer in an industrial setting.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures.
- Collaborative, responsive, and goal‑oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Ability to plan work effectively and manage POs on time.
