Jumbo’s core activities are Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Procurement and Supply Chain services. To support the growth strategy of the company, we are looking for a new enthusiastic colleague within the Planning team for Northern Europe, based in Zaandam.
Job Position:
The Supply Planner works within the Supply Chain department and is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time in the right quantities, while balancing cost, service level and cash flow. The purpose of the role is to enlarge customer satisfaction and to reduce excess inventory and out of stock situations.
Responsibilities:
· Own end-to-end supply planning for our products, aligning supply plans with demand plans
· Arrange Purchase Orders to suppliers to ensure timely product availability.
· Detailed track & trace of the Sea and Train Shipments. Monitor deviations vs initial plans and inform the right stakeholders.
· Inbound & Customs Clearance management.
· Manage Inventory levels to meet customer service targets and optimize working capital
· Support on the relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, including capacity planning, lead times, order placement, and performance monitoring
· Track and help to define the Safety Stock strategy
· Monitor inventory health (obsolete, slow movers) and drive corrective actions
· Collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure plans are realistic and commercially aligned
· Support the S&OP process by challenging assumptions and aligning stakeholders on trade-offs
Requested skills for the job:
• A master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year professional experience in planning, ideally in an international environment, and knowledge in Customs clearance and purchase orders from external manufacturers.
• ERP – planning tools knowledge (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Anaplan)
• Understanding of key supply constraints, cost drivers and sensitivities sufficiently to validate information and recommend plans and alternatives, quantifying the associated business implications.
• Structured way of working, good organized and strong analytic skills
• Responsible to take ownership and autonomy in the daily business.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
• Self-motivator with a high sense of urgency and ownership. Able to work independently but also a team player
• Enthusiastic and proactive mindset, eager to solve problems and build best-in-class processes
• Capable to build effective relationships.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written. Being able to communicate in Dutch, French or Spanish is a plus
