The Process Control Engineer ensures a biogas/CO₂ plant runs safely, reliably, and efficiently by designing, programming, and optimizing its automated control systems. They work with sensors, valves, pumps, and software (PLC/SCADA/HMI) to control the process, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance, collaborating closely with engineers from different disciplines.
Hands-on experience with real plant operations – designing control loops, configuring instrumentation, or programming PLCs in an actual facility.
Commissioning / troubleshooting – they should have been on-site or closely involved in getting a plant running and keeping it stable.
Process control mindset – understanding how the chemistry or biogas/CO₂ process interacts with equipment, utilities, alarms, and safety systems.
