Our client is seeking a proactive and hands‑on Site Manager HV Substations – to oversee construction activities on high‑voltage infrastructure projects throughout the North and Central Netherlands. In this pivotal role, you will be the key point of contact on‑site, ensuring smooth collaboration between subcontractors, clients, suppliers, and international partners.

With a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you will organize and coordinate all operational activities, contributing to the successful execution of either multiple small‑scale or one large complex project.

You could take on a great role as Site Manager for a large project in the Groningen region. Our client will design and build high‑voltage substations. This includes the infill of five 380kV fields and the expansion of eight 380kV fields. In addition, a 110kV expansion will be implemented for 31 fields. The project will begin with a 220kV hybrid array.

No two days are the same. You'll translate what your colleagues have prepared in the office into implementation on the project sites. You'll do this in collaboration with your project team. You'll be the point of contact on the construction site for your team, the client, suppliers, subcontractors, and temporary workers.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manages the operational implementation of one complex monodisciplinary project or multiple monodisciplinary projects of a smaller size
• Responsible for preparing the overall planning, work budget, quality and safety plans for the construction
• Is (partly) responsible for the optimal coordination of the construction activities of the subcontractors
• Reports to project management on project results/work budget and on progress regarding quality, safety, equipment and capacity
• Contacts at middle management level at own and sister companies and clients
• Co‑responsible for monitoring contractual agreements regarding implementation activities
• Co‑responsible for the correct closure of the project and the acceptance of the project by the client (commissioning, project close‑out meeting, drawing up Lessons Learned)

• Completed technical vocational training (MBO level or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a site executor or in a similar role
• Experience working on high‑voltage projects
• Experience with HV Substations
• Strong command of both Dutch and English (due to international project collaboration)
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Confident leadership and team coordination abilities
• Strong communication skills, especially when working with international teams
• A hands‑on attitude with a focus on achieving project goals efficiently and safely
