Sales Engineer – Monolithic Refractory Solutions (Ferrous & Non-Ferrous) – German Market (m/f/d)
Location: Germany / Remote within Germany
About the RoleWe are a global refractory manufacturer specializing in monolithic refractory products for high‑temperature industrial applications. To strengthen our footprint in the German market, we are looking for a technically strong Sales Engineer with hands‑on knowledge of monolithic refractories used in ferrous and non‑ferrous metallurgical and industrial processes.
The role combines business development, key account management and technical support for customers operating foundry, and non‑ferrous melting and refining units.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and grow sales of monolithic refractory products in Germany
- Manage and expand relationships with ferrous, non‑ferrous metallurgical and industrial customers
- Provide technical consulting on refractory selection, lining concepts and application methods
- Support customers during installation, drying, start‑up, maintenance and emergency repairs
- Prepare and negotiate technical and commercial offers, tenders and long‑term supply agreements
- Work closely with internal R&D, product application engineers, quality and service teams
- Track market trends, competitor activities and evolving customer requirements
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales activity reports
- Degree in Materials Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in monolithic refractory products
- Knowledge of ferrous, non‑ferrous metallurgical and industrial processes
- Fluent German (native or professional level) and good English skills
- Strong technical communication, presentation and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage long industrial sales cycles
- Willingness to travel extensively within Germany and occasionally abroad
- Practical experience with refractory in ferrous, non‑ferrous metallurgical and industrial processes
- Existing network in German industrial sector, foundries and non‑ferrous producers
- Long‑term opportunity in a specialized, technically driven refractory company
