At Weheat, we are building the next generation of heat pumps: cleaner, smarter, and affordable for as many households as possible. From our high-tech facilities in Duizel (Eindhoven region), we develop, test, and manufacture our own heat pumps—from initial concept to scalable production.
In Duizel, everything comes together: engineering, prototyping, testing, and production. You work here daily with other engineers, close to the hardware and real-world application. We work closely with our hub in Utrecht, but strongly believe in on-site collaboration when it comes to complex technology. Our culture is down-to-earth and ambitious, with a strong sense of ownership, short lines of communication, and a clear focus on progress.
What you’ll work onWe are looking for an IT & DevOps Engineer who can bridge the gap between internal IT operations and modern cloud-native engineering. In this role, you will contribute to both our company-wide IT environment and our development teams’ infrastructure — ensuring our systems are secure, automated, reliable, and scalable.
You will work with a Microsoft-first ecosystem (Azure AD, Intune, Azure), support our hardware and network setups, and help build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments. You’ll collaborate across engineering, production, and operations to enable smooth day-to-day operations while shaping our long-term technical landscape.
What you bringTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; or a strong HBO/WO-level of thinking.
- 2–5+ years of experience across IT engineering, systems administration, DevOps, or a similar technical domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure AD, M365, Intune, Windows endpoints).
- Solid understanding of networking: VLANs, firewalls, routing, VPN, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
- Understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to improving systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with access badge systems or physical security integrations.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tooling.
- Security awareness: device compliance, identity security, MFA, conditional access.
- A key role in shaping both our IT foundation and cloud/platform infrastructure.
- A modern technology stack with room to introduce new tools and ideas.
- A company laptop and mobile device.
- Flexible overtime compensation: extra pay or additional holidays.
- Competitive salary and annual performance bonus.
- 33 vacation days (including public holidays) — with the option to convert overtime into more time off.
- The opportunity to work with talented engineers in a fast-growing manufacturing tech environment.
