The roleIn this position you report to the Sr. Manager Engineering.
- Leads and further develops his/her Engineering team of approx. 6 FTE and its activities and priorities.
- Drives Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
- Keeps the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
- Ensure Ranpak product creation adds real competitive value by the development of smart solutions and therefore patents of a high intellectual standard which is hard to imitate.
- Set priorities and allocates resources with the team.
- Drives a customer centric, result driven- and collaborative culture.
- Actively supports initiatives and objectives and translate these into departmental and individual goals.
- Supports the team with the effective and timely execution of new development (NPI) and/or customer projects.
- Manage and execute NPI- or other Engineering projects, which relate to Ranpak® equipment.
- Coaches throughout all levels on lean behaviors and lead by example.
- Set-up, coordinate, plan and monitor NPI deliverables in cooperation with the Product Manager to secure optimal Time to Market.
- Manage appropriate support to sales to realize necessary customizations and integrations.
- Develop and design of mechanical/electrical/software systems for the machine applications.
- Research for alternative components and vendors to create excellent cost price in relation to required quality.
- Provides communication for internal/external stakeholders.
- Preparation and control of all required technical documentation including technical file
- Generate adequate testing procedures in order to generate reliable results.
- Develop, change and document Ranpak equipment according required compliances (CE/UL/CSA)
- Fosters a workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Demonstrates effective change leadership.
- Bachelor/Academic level in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
- A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in machine building industry
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Good knowledge of automated systems and components
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English language.
- Experience with CAD and software systems
- Experience working in an international environment
- People oriented and team player
- Decisive and pro active
- Willingness to travel (national and international )
€70000 - €90000 monthly
