Systems and Control Engineer

On behalf of one of our clients, we are seeking a Systems and Control Engineer to join their innovative team in Amsterdam. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of sustainable home energy solutions and make a real impact on climate change.

As a Systems and Control Engineer, you will:

• Develop models of home energy products including HVAC components and batteries
• Design state estimators to track the home energy ecosystem in real-time
• Create algorithms for home energy management, balancing comfort, efficiency, and reliability
• Implement low-level controls for rapid-prototyping of control algorithms
• Collaborate on test setups and optimal sensor placements
• Develop and update simulation environments
• Work in cross-functional teams to integrate modeling and control algorithms

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Control, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of working experience in systems control, energy management, or related field
• Expertise in developing models for control
• Proficiency in Python
• Understanding of control theory principles for home energy management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow
• Competitive monthly salary between €3,000 - €6,000, plus 8% holiday allowance
