IT Solution Architect Model Data Factory

As a Solution Architect, you will work for a global solution, with a strong focus on the Model Data Factory, in the Risk Enterprise Business Solution Delivery Team and are responsible for the architecture of this solution in the domain. The collection and preparation of model data will be implemented via a new solution called (MDF) and will replace existing model data solutions. The MDF is the primary and single provider of Model Data for any of the Model lifecycle phases. Model data inside the MDF will exist at different quality levels. The data will traverse through the MDF to achieve higher quality and usability.

In the MDF data is prepared in such a way it can be used in the different phases of the model lifecycle. This means that if data is not yet up to the standard that model management needs, this is the solution to enhance the data according well governed business rules.

You will work closely with Group Analytics and departments like Data Management and Risk. You collect business requirements and translate this into process, application, information and infrastructure designs together with the solution design teams and document this in the Solution Vision (i.e. Project Start Architecture). You guide development teams in realizing the solutions providing architectural direction. You are responsible for documenting the architecture baseline in the architecture repository. You are responsible that the solution complies with various regulatory requirements and monitor the realization of these.

• Alignment with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design business processes and translate these to IT solutions covering application, information and infrastructure architecture.
• Organize solution Design activities and involve the right stakeholders.
• Design solutions based on the business requirements and assured these are within architectural boundaries.
• Capture the solution direction in the Solution Vision.
• Arrange approval for architecture artifacts with business stakeholders, lead architect, architects of other domains and delivery teams.
• Participate in the solution design authority to ensure that the MDF solution fits into the end-to-end solution that's needed for Group Analytics.
• Provide support, give overview and guidance in the specific business domain regarding preconditions for successful adoption of changes/new technology by coaching and supporting business and IT to deploy solutions.
• Work closely with the Lead architect and co-create architecture roadmaps and an architecture plan in line with the business strategy.
• Monitor the execution of the architecture roadmaps by maintaining and coordinating the architecture backlog of the global solution.
• Ensure the architecture repository for the global solution is always up to date.
• Provide architectural guidance to Agile Engineers.
• Monitor implementation of solutions to ensure they are according to Solution Visions.
• Proactively come up with ideas to improve the IT landscape within the global solution.
• Keep abreast with new or changing insights, architecture practices, technology and the relevant developments in the IT and financial services markets.

• 5 years of experience architecting IT solutions, preferably in Data Management.
• Experience in working in Agile/scrum environments in the IT sector and financial services.
• University Level Education.
• Practical experience with architecture frameworks.
• Excellent communicator in speech and writing.

• Stakeholder Management Skills (networker).
• Ability to coach Agile Engineers.
• Focus on Delivery.
• Able to convey IT subjects in business terminology.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure- and Databricks based solutions (i.e. ‘medallion’ architecture).
• Certified for TOGAF.
• Certified for Archimate (using Bizzdesign).
• Sound Technology background in a Data Management environment.
• Sound understanding of Architecture Concepts.
• Understand/knows relevant business processes related with Banking and Risk/Modeling or can learn them quickly.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Experience in Software Development Methodologies.
