As a Cyber Defense Manager, you will take a leading role in transforming and maturing our clients' Cyber Defense capabilities. With a strong background in cybersecurity — including at least 8+ years of experience, of which at least one year in a leadership or managerial position — you will independently advise organizations on Security Operations transformation, SOC modernization, and Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) solutions.

Key Responsibilities Client Advisory- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on Cyber Defense strategy, SOC transformation, and MxDR adoption.
- Assess existing Security Operations capabilities and define target operating models, maturity roadmaps, and improvement initiatives.
- Guide clients in optimizing detection engineering, threat analytics, automation, and SOC operating processes.
- Lead project teams in delivering Cyber Defense transformations and managed detection services.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members, helping them develop their technical, advisory, and consulting skills.
- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting sales cycles.
- Lead or support responses to Requests for Proposal (RfPs) and craft compelling solution narratives for Cyber Defense opportunities.
- Experience: At least 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations, Cyber Defense, or SOC transformation roles.
- Leadership: At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or managerial position (e.g., team lead, workstream lead, project lead).
- Advisory Skills: Proven ability to independently engage with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic guidance.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and MxDR solutions, with familiarity in:
- Google Chronicle
- Microsoft Defender / Sentinel
- CrowdStrike
- Splunk
- Cyber Defense Knowledge: Solid understanding of modern Cyber Defense processes, including threat detection, automation, and analytics.
- Consulting Experience: Demonstrated success in delivering consulting engagements and working in client-facing roles.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Language: Fluency in Dutch is essential, both spoken and written.
