As a Solution Advisor (SA) you work as a Data & AI expert with the sales teams and customer success managers during the entire Customer Value Journey (Discovery‑Select‑Adopt & Consume‑Extend). You provide strategic guidance and subject‑matter expertise in the design and solutioning of SAP’s data management, data governance and AI solutions.
Discovery phase- Contribute to Account or Territory Pipeline Planning
- Support One‑to‑Few & One‑to‑Many events by delivering customer‑facing presentations, digital assets and demos about SAP’s Data & AI portfolio.
- Perform Account‑Specific Discovery using customer interviews, workshops and vigorous dry‑runs.
- Contribute to successful Opportunity Qualification
- Defining and driving long‑term roadmaps for full business transformation, including value definition and delivery.
- Ensure the selected Data & AI solutions address customer pain points and support their strategic vision.
- Facilitate a smooth transition to the implementation and adoption phases.
- Post‑Sales Transition: Facilitate knowledge transfer between sales and implementation/onboarding teams, ensuring continuity and alignment with customer goals.
- Solution Clarification Demos and Presentations: Re‑engage customers to reinforce the value and functionality of purchased SAP Data & AI solutions.
- Upsell/Cross‑sell Identification: Act as a consultant to the sales team, pinpointing upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
- Solution Expertise: Re‑engage with customers, delivering solution overviews and demonstrations, drawing on previous sales engagement experiences.
- 12+ years of professional work experience with large software/IT organizations, preferably in a solution and/or architecture advisory role.
- 7+ years of relevant SAP BTP and/or Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) experience in a customer‑facing role, with a specific focus on cloud data warehousing solutions.
- Expertise with Business Data Cloud (BDC) and related components (Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Functional knowledge of S/4HANA applications and/or optimization of business processes that leverage SAP BDC is desired.
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture industry trends and proven ability to present to all levels in a customer’s organization.
- Strong executive presence and storytelling skills (both in English and Dutch).
- Proficient in Databricks &/or Snowflake technologies.
- Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency with AI and machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Passion and energy in all customer interactions.
- Ability to drive opportunities in collaboration with Account Executive, Sales Specialists, Customer Success Managers and Partner Business Managers.
- SAP Business Data Cloud (incl. SAP Datasphere) – Trusted, connected foundation for AI with zero‑copy sharing and Snowflake integration.
- Joule (SAP’s AI Copilot) – Conversational assistant embedded across SAP apps.
- You will be part of the Customer Advisory team consisting of Solution, Value and Architecture Advisors.
- You will be based in SAP Netherlands office but may need to travel to Belgium as part of the Benelux Market Unit.
