Do you want to take ownership of your work and truly make an impact? For one of our clients in Amsterdam, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys working in an international, fast-growing environment where finance plays a key role in steering the business.

The company prefers to remain anonymous at this stage, but can be described as financially solid, ambitious and people-oriented.
Your roleAs Financial Controller, you will be a key partner to the Head of Finance and management. You ensure financial accuracy, transparency and control, while also contributing insights that help the business move forward.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and reporting
Manage and monitor general ledger accounts and balance sheet positions
Prepare financial reports, KPI dashboards and variance analyses for management
Support budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles
Act as sparring partner to the Head of Finance and advise on financial matters
Ensure internal control, compliance, audits and VAT-related filings
Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and administrative organization
Job requirementsYour background and skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accountancy or similar
3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international or production environment
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or Navision) is a plus
Proactive, accurate and communicative, with the confidence to challenge and explain
You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, remain calm under pressure and combine a hands-on mindset with a strong sense of responsibility. You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus. You live in the Netherlands and hold a valid work permit.
