About the roleThe IT Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the IT department at UNS by driving operational efficiency, managing internal IT projects, and ensuring alignment with ISO27001 certification requirements. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, process improvement, or Scrum methodology, who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.
In addition to acting as a PMO for internal IT projects, this role will also facilitate Agile practices as a Scrum Master and support the documentation of processes to meet compliance standards. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, process optimization, and project management, making a tangible impact on the success of the IT department.
Responsibilities 1) Project Coordination and PMO SupportCoordinate and monitor progress on internal IT projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
Act as a central point of communication between stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to support the IT team’s productivity.
Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth project execution.
Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT department.
Collaborate with the IT team to document and standardize processes in alignment with ISO27001 certification requirements.
Identify gaps in existing documentation and work to ensure compliance with information security standards.
Maintain version control and organization of all process documentation.
4) IT Procurement and License ManagementManage procurement processes for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisitions.
Oversee the administration, renewal, and tracking of software licenses and vendor contracts.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets and procurement activities to support operational transparency.
Analyze existing IT workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Propose and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve overall performance.
Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in project coordination, process improvement, or Agile/Scrum practices.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with Scrum methodology and Agile principles.
Proficiency in Excel is required.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
Valid working visa for the Netherlands.
