As a Medior Construction Manager at Hunkemöller, you are responsible for managing store construction and renovation projects within the BeNeLux region. You’ll translate Hunkemöller’s global store concept into high-quality, sustainable, and cost-efficient projects — from design phase to opening. Next year, we have more than 100 store refurbishments planned, a large portion of which will be in the BeNeLux.
You’ll work closely with internal teams (Real Estate, Construction, Maintenance, Visual Merchandising, and Operations) and external partners (architects, contractors, project managers) to ensure every store meets Hunkemöller’s quality and brand standards.
- Lead and coordinate new build, refurbishment, and renovation projects for Hunkemöller stores in the BeNeLux.
- Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of projects in line with Hunkemöller’s global strategy and guidelines.
- Manage external partners and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.
- Maintain close collaboration with local authorities regarding permits and regulations.
- Guarantee a consistent brand experience in every store project.
- Contribute actively to Hunkemöller’s sustainability goals (energy efficiency, material reuse, sustainable building methods).
- Report progress, risks, and costs to the Global Construction Manager.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar.
- 3–7 years of experience in project or construction management, preferably in retail or hospitality.
- Experience in international or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of local building regulations and technical standards within the BeNeLux.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experienced in budget control, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills — able to connect teams and achieve results together.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus), both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the BeNeLux.
- Hands-on, solution-oriented, and passionate about design, sustainability, and retail.
- Affinity with software tools such as Excel, AutoCAD/Revit/SketchUp, and InDesign is a plus.
