What Would You Do?As a Geotechnical Engineer at GBM Works, you will play an active role in the development of our future products and services. You will join our product development team, which is focused on advancing our Vibrojet® technology for offshore pile installation. Your work will contribute directly to the development and validation of geotechnical models used to design and operate the Vibrojet® and upcoming prototypes for large scale monopiles. These models — including jet-aided installation, drivability and bearing capacity — are validated through laboratory testing and field trials and applied in commercial projects. You will be part of the geotechnical team, working closely with experienced engineers while having the opportunity to contribute your own ideas, creativity, and analytical skills.
Your Role Will Include:- Contributing to the geotechnical development of our Vibrojet® technology
- Analysing soil driving behaviour through laboratory and field test evaluation
- Planning for soil investigations and test instrumentation
- Interpreting geotechnical data and test results
- Supporting the validation of theoretical models through testing
- Participating in research to improve modelling approaches and define operational parameters
- You hold a master's degree in a relevant field, with a specialisation in soil mechanics
- You have strong written and verbal English communication skills; you can confidently and eloquently present your findings in front of external stakeholders
- You are intrinsically motivated by research, development and geotechnical engineering
- Experience in geotechnical engineering is a plus
- Proficiency in Python is an advantage
- You are creative and proactive, able to generate ideas and translate them into practical tests
- You enjoy working in a fast-growing, innovative environment
