Operational Buyer Procurement

You are the link between internal requirements and supplier performance, creating value by optimizing costs while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role offers you the challenge of navigating a complex stakeholder landscape where your expertise directly contributes to the success of major technical projects and maintenance turnarounds.

To be successful in this role, you bring the following qualifications:

• A higher professional education (HBO) or senior secondary vocational education with an enhanced curriculum (MBO+), preferably supplemented with procurement-specific training such as NEVI 1.
• Several years of experience in operational procurement, supply chain, or a technical position within a process plant environment.
• At least 2 years of experience working closely with internal customer bases to identify and capture requirements.
• Solid experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP-MM, combined with strong administrative accuracy.
• Full professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively across a global organization.

You are a communicative professional who navigates easily between different interests while remaining focused on the best team results. Your analytical mindset and negotiation skills allow you to challenge internal demands and reach optimal commercial conditions with suppliers. You possess a robust personality, enabling you to excel in a high-pressure technical environment alongside project managers and turnaround experts. By taking ownership and thinking ahead, you identify process improvements that enhance the entire Purchase-to-Pay cycle.
