You’ll influence how we attract, develop, and retain great people, while ensuring our operations, systems, and ways of working scale in the right way for a regulated MedTech environment. You strike the balance naturally: high standards without unnecessary complexity, structure without slowing us down a pragmatic operator who understands what “right‑sized for a scale‑up” truly means.
Most importantly, you’ll be a trusted partner to the CEO and Executive Team. You’ll help align People strategy, culture, and organizational routines to the ambitions of the business, and you’ll play a key role in shaping what it feels like to work at ViCentra as we continue to grow.
What you’ll take onIn your role, you will:
People Strategy & MT Advisory: Set the People strategy for ViCentra and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Team, ensuring People priorities, culture, and organizational routines align with the company’s ambitions.
People Operations & Governance: Build a consistent and compliant People Operations framework across all European entities, covering contracts, policies, payroll/benefits governance, and employee‑relations processes.
HR Systems & Data Excellence: Select and implement scalable HR systems, ensure data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and ATS, and establish a global reporting rhythm for the Executive Team.
Performance, Compensation & Job Architecture: Design and lead job architecture, salary bands, promotion frameworks, and the full performance and compensation cycle.
Leadership, Development & Retention: Elevate manager capability, strengthen leadership development, and implement a sustainable retention and succession approach.
Culture & Engagement: Embed values‑in‑action, strengthen cultural rituals and recognition, lead engagement cycles, and drive follow‑through on insights.
Workforce Planning & Organizational Design: Partner with Finance to align workforce planning, organizational design, and talent needs with business priorities.
Compliance & Documentation: Build a policy and compliance infrastructure fit for a regulated MedTech environment and prepare for EU pay transparency requirements.
International Expansion Readiness: Develop compliant hiring and onboarding processes for US entry, assess entity vs. EOR approaches, and build benefits and policy frameworks for new markets.
10+ years of HR/People leadership experience with preferably a combination of corporate and fast‑scaling environment, and multi‑country environments.
Deep experience building compliant People Operations across Europe (NL & DE strongly preferred).
Strong understanding of works councils and employee representation environments.
Proven ability to design and run performance and compensation cycles, including job architecture.
Strong operational command of contracts, policies, payroll/benefits governance, compliance, and ER.
Data‑driven approach with experience building dashboards and People insights.
High executive presence with the ability to influence and partner with a CEO and ELT.
Location: due to the nature and complexity of the role we’re asking for the majority of time being onsite in office in our HQ in Utrecht.
