As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in design, development and maintenance of Learning materials for Field Service Engineers and Biomedical engineers who service our customers’ Diagnostic X-ray (DXR) products. As an individual contributor you will work within a team of technical trainers of the Diagnostic X-ray business to assist in curriculum design. This is a highly motivated global team that operates in an open atmosphere. You will collaborate with a global team requiring flexibility in aligning various time zones.
Responsibilities- Work with subject matter experts to design engaging learning activities with a strong focus on distance learning (e-learning, Virtual classrooms, animations, 3D models).
- Design and support in the development of digital assets like animations, videos and 3D models.
- Cooperate with multi-media specialists, to develop digital learning assets to effectively teach technical/clinical concepts and skills.
- Support Technical trainers to improve learning materials and to improve their skills in offering Instructor Led Training and Virtual classrooms.
- Analyze AI tools to be used for development of learning materials and assessment.
- Build assessments to assess engineers’ technical knowledge and skills.
- Drive training development activities/ manage projects: ensuring process compliance and following design standards.
- Population of course materials in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Continuously evaluate the quality of courses and learning assets, using student feedback and subject matters input, to improve training effectiveness.
- Ensures that Philips customers receive a consistent and high-quality education experience across all global regions.
- 3+ years’ experience in the instructional design domain with hands-on experience building learning programs.
- Experience designing and co-developing digital learning assets like video, 3D models
- A Bachelor’s degree in education, ideally Instructional Design, or related field.
- Skilled in adult learning methodologies.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Confident use of learning development tools (MS Office Suite, Articulate Storyline 360, etc.).
- Project management skills and experience are a plus.
- Must have excellent organizational and written English communication skills.
