Senior Accountant (Real Estate)

Our client is a Real Estate based company located in Amsterdam-Zuid.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accurate financial accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance for Dutch real estate entities. The role focuses on month-end close, property accounting, and audit and tax support, ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP/IFRS. The Senior Accountant works closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Dutch real estate entities (BV/CV).
• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage property accounting, including rental income, indexation, service charges, and rent roll reconciliations.
• Track and account for capital expenditures, tenant improvements, and development costs.
• Support Dutch tax compliance (VAT/BTW, Corporate Income Tax, OZB) in coordination with external advisors.
• Assist with statutory filings and audits, including submissions to the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
• Prepare management reports and variance analyses.
• Support cash management, loan administration, and lender reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to process improvements.
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 5-8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP.
• Experience with Dutch legal entities.
• Familiarity with Dutch tax regulations (VAT/BTW, CIT).
• Fluent in English; Dutch strongly preferred.
