Industrial Automation Engineer

The Company

Our client is a large international FMCG manufacturing organization with a long-standing history in high-quality production. The site operates in a complex, highly automated environment and plays a key role within the wider organization.

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing process automation systems within a modern production facility. You will work closely with automation, IT, production, and engineering teams to ensure stable and future‑proof operations.

• Maintain and optimize process automation and DCS systems
• Ensure high availability and reliability of automation platforms
• Manage lifecycle updates and technical documentation
• Support CAPEX projects from design through FAT/SAT and commissioning
• Apply and monitor IA and IT standards
• Analyze incidents and follow up on resolved production issues
• Coordinate and manage external automation suppliers

• HBO (Bachelor) level of working and thinking
• 5+ years experience in industrial/process automation
• Experience with DCS systems (e.g. ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS7, DeltaV)
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical industry experience
• Knowledge of FAT/SAT, MoC, and CAPEX projects
• Affinity with instrumentation and process technology
