Your profile:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you are able to independently design various geotechnical structures including highly complex (auxiliary) structures. You provide geotechnical advice in several phases of the design process, whether or not within a multidisciplinary design team. In your advice, you always keep the most economically feasible and optimal geotechnical solutions in mind. You carry out quality checks on the designs produced. You act within the profession as a recognised professional and technical design manager. You make an active contribution to the development of knowledge, skills and automated geotechnical design tools. You are the point of contact on projects, handling communication with clients. You are enthusiastic and enjoy networking and spotting opportunities in the market. As a mentor, you also contribute to the professional development of less experienced colleagues within GEO2.
What we ask of you:
- TU Civil Engineering and/or HBO Civil Engineering (Geo-engineering, Structural hydraulic engineering, Structural engineering);
- At least 8 years' experience as a geotechnical engineer;
- Excellent understanding of the theory and practice of the field of (structural) geotechnics as well as insight into geotechnical mechanisms and management of geotechnical risks:
- Excellent command of at least the geotechnical software packages: Plaxis 2D/3D and Deltares D-Series;
- Excellent knowledge of standards and guidelines relevant to the field;
- Excellent knowledge of the Dutch language;
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges;
- High degree of self-organisation, solution-orientation and a proactive working attitude;
- Coaching and situational leadership of team members within the project and colleagues;
- Sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues;
- Making proposals for process and/or product improvement within GEO2.
