Holland Ship Electric provides comprehensive services to customers, ranging from designing and maintaining electrical installations to installing navigation systems and security installations, as well as commissioning electric motors and generators. We do it all! And because Holland Ship Electric continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated PLC programmer in Electrical Engineering to join our team.

If you start in the position of PLC programmer, you will initially receive a one-year contract. After this contract, we would like to offer you a permanent position. You will be provided with a company phone and service car, which you may also use for private purposes by mutual agreement. The great thing about working as a PLC programmer is that every day is different. One day, you might be troubleshooting and doing some maintenance work. Another day, you might be fully commissioning a ship! Lastly, there are also days where you perform preparatory work at the office. What more could you ask for? To give you a better idea, here’s a brief overview of all the tasks/responsibilities:
- You independently and collaboratively develop PLC software for ship and offshore installations.
- You translate customer requirements into concrete PLC software.
- You design and build software for HMI touchscreens.
- You design, configure, and write software for frequency controllers and servo controllers.
- You assist customers and service technicians in troubleshooting.
- You perform commissioning activities on-site with our (international) customers.
