What are you going to do as an Industrial Engineer?

As an Industrial Engineer, you play a key role in accelerating end-to-end manufacturing processes for one of our flagship products. You will bridge the gap between R&D and production, ensuring innovative technologies are translated into full-scale, efficient, and lean manufacturing operations.

You will:

• Implement frequent design changes within an existing assembly line.
• Collaborate closely with R&D to integrate Design for Assembly, Optimal Assembly Sequence, and Superconcurrent Engineering principles early in the design phase.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Lean Manufacturing, driving improvements across the full value chain.
• Analyze and optimize assembly processes to achieve outstanding product quality, optimal flow, short lead times, and faster time-to-market.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues in the Netherlands and at our supply center in Germany.

Your analytical mindset, hands-on approach, and ability to communicate effectively across teams will be key to your success.

What you bring

We’re looking for an ambitious, results-oriented engineer with a passion for process optimization and teamwork. You recognize yourself in the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in a production or assembly environment.
• Strong affinity with IT and excellent project management skills.
• Process-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; good command of Dutch is a strong advantage.
• You are already authorized to work in the Netherlands (no relocation support provided).

Our customer

The Manufacturing department is responsible for producing and delivering best-in-class, high-mix, low-volume Canon Production Printing products.

Our main challenges lie in further embedding Lean principles and strengthening industrialization methods for complex product mixes.

Within this environment, the Industrial Engineering team acts as the “spider in the web” — influencing product design before production starts and continuously improving production lines through lean principles.
