AssistYou is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Software Developer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills. Forget about building webshops and similar projects, you will be learning how to implement and apply LLMs & other AI‑based technologies to create outstanding Digital Assistants for some of the most well‑known Dutch, German, and other European companies. We are focused on voice‑based channels (i.e., telephony), so streaming data, real‑time processing, blending LLMs with code & Cloud Computing are all part of what you will be learning and working on.

Who we areWe are a team of 14, made up of software developers, customer success specialists, and sales & marketing managers. Our office is located in the center of Rotterdam, right next to Central Station; just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport.
Responsibilities- Designing and coding outstanding Digital Assistants for enterprise companies.
- Helping to identify and implement improvements to our platform based on customer feedback and insights.
- Working with engineers from our customers to implement connectivity between our platform and their systems.
- Investigating, evaluating & fine‑tuning the performance of our Digital Assistants.
- Joining (customer) meetings to consult on technical matters and come up with the smartest way to achieve a customer’s goal using our technology.
- Genuine enthusiasm about (our type of) technology and your role.
- Social attitude: our ‘products’ communicate seamlessly: we expect the same from you 🙂
- Problem solver: ideally, you’re someone who has been coding day and night, hitting walls and climbing over them because you get a kick out of ‘solving the puzzle’, ‘seeing the light turn on’, etc.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience
- with object-oriented programming
- Primarily in Node.js/Typescript
- and preferably also PHP and/or Python
- Deep respect for and at least basic working experience with Development Hygiene:
- Version control (Git), unit & integration testing, (deployment through) Docker, Cloud Technologies, Networking.
- Team player: You’ve proven you can work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with peers to achieve project goals and enhance team productivity.
- Languages
- Native Dutch speaker
- Fluent in English required
- Fluent in German is a big plus
- Experience with one or more of the following: implementation of API-based LLM (e.g., GPT), audio processing (including ASR and TTS), PBX, Terraform
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, in particular; BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run&Cloud Functions
