Team Lead Electrical Engineer

In this position, you will be part of the engineering team responsible for the Electrical Engineering scope within innovative shipbuilding projects. You will define a solid work breakdown structure, develop planning strategies, and lead a team of engineers to successful project delivery.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Lead and coordinate a team of Electrical Engineers during project execution.
• Set up detailed work breakdown structures and project schedules for electrical engineering activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet technical requirements, classification society standards, and client expectations.
• Manage internal and external design reviews and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor engineering work, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
• Provide support to procurement by analyzing technical offers and advising on supplier selection.
• Track progress, control budgets, and report project status to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical support during commissioning and integration of electrical systems on board.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Automation, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in shipbuilding, offshore, or maritime sectors.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex project environments.
• Strong knowledge of maritime standards, classification regulations, and system integration principles.
• Solid project management skills with a focus on planning, execution, and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills in English; speaking Dutch is a strong asset.
