Role Overview

Location: Zoetermeer, Netherlands office (Hybrid)

Reports To: Manager, Systems Engineering

NETGEAR is seeking a technically skilled and customer‑centric Systems Engineer to support our Enterprise and IT customers. This role focuses on delivering technical leadership during the sales cycle and beyond, ensuring successful deployments of wired and wireless enterprise networking solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor with deep knowledge in Wi‑Fi, LAN switching, cloud networking, and Zero Trust security, and will also play a critical role in relaying customer feedback to influence product strategy and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with account teams to deliver pre‑sales technical consultation, solution design, product demos, and proof‑of‑concepts tailored to enterprise needs.

  • Lead the architecture and deployment of enterprise‑grade Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, and security and cloud solutions.

  • Present technical content to diverse audiences, including IT stakeholders, channel partners, and internal teams.

  • Serve as a technical bridge between the customer and NETGEAR’s Support organization, facilitating smooth post‑sales transitions, managing escalations, and ensuring a consistent customer experience.

  • Act as the voice of the customer by gathering, analyzing, and articulating technical feedback and feature requests to Product Management, helping shape product direction and ensuring customer needs are reflected in future releases.

  • Design and support secure networking environments leveraging Zero Trust architecture, including user/device segmentation, role‑based access, and secure onboarding.

  • Promote and support the adoption of Cloud platforms, providing scalable cloud management for multi‑site environments with capabilities such as zero‑touch provisioning, real‑time alerts, firmware lifecycle management, and network analytics.

  • Conduct detailed RF planning and network design using tools such as Ekahau or similar.

  • Enable and support NETGEAR's channel ecosystem (MSPs, VARs, distributors) through technical training, solution guidance, and joint customer engagements.

  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and the evolving enterprise IT landscape.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or a similar technical customer‑facing role.

  • Expertise in:
    Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 wireless networking technologies
Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, routing, QoS, and enterprise security practices
Cloud‑managed networking (Netgear Insight or competitive solutions)
Zero Trust security concepts including identity‑based access and micro‑segmentation

  • Strong troubleshooting and solution development skills across both wireless and wired networks.

  • Experience using RF design tools (e.g., Ekahau, Hamina, etc).

  • Experience supporting or working with channel partners, MSPs, and mid‑market enterprise customers.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to influence and build trust with both technical and business audiences.

  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.

  • A team player with a passion for customer success and product excellence.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

  • Fluent Dutch and English required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as CWNA, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent preferred.
