Your mission

As a Senior Mechanical Designer in our fast‑moving start‑up team, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of mechanical design for our products and prototypes. You work closely with the System Architect and Engineers to translate ambitious concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions. You bring both strong mechanical fundamentals and hands‑on problem‑solving skills, combined with the flexibility and creativity needed in a small high‑tech environment.

How you’ll contribute

• Design, engineer and test mechanical parts, modules and prototypes.
• Independently manage your work package: scope, planning, risks and quality.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with the architect and team.
• Integrate mechanical designs with electronics, software and manufacturing.
• Support build phases, troubleshooting and rapid iteration.
• Coach team members or guide external partners when relevant.
• Communicate technical risks early and suggest improvements.

Your expertise and qualities

We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a proven ability to develop high‑end systems in a high‑tech environment:

• Educational background: Bachelor’s or MSc degree in Mechanics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in the high‑tech industry, with a strong track record of building high‑tech systems.
• Technical skills: Proficient in reading and modifying mechanical CAD designs & able to read and understand electrical CAD drawings.
• Mindset: A proactive team player with excellent communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Languages: Strong proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
