The main goal is to grow equipment sales within the industrial natural refrigeration and heat pump segments, whilst building and maintaining close partnerships with Main/General Contractors and local installers who are active in the Refrigeration, HVAC, Renewable Energy, and Heat Network markets. The Industrial Sales Engineer will extend our industrial business model by offering service inspection/maintenance contracts to this segment.
This function involves the sale of equipment through a push-pull based promotion and advising customers on the selection of equipment for their specific projects. The role includes supporting contractors and installers with equipment selection, overall calculations for energy and system comparisons, and management of the preparation of offers. The Industrial Sales Engineer will also develop a strong pipeline for the segment and close opportunities to secure the company's leading position in CO2 cooling and heating in the industrial segment. As a key member of the Benelux sales team, the position reports to the Benelux Sales Manager.
Responsibilities- Technical project sales management
- Selling service inspection/maintenance contracts to the after-sales market
- High levels of sales activity with contractors, installers, and end customers across varying specialisms
- Assisting customers with the selection of equipment for their projects
- Management of providing offers
- Calculation of energy and lifecycle analysis to support sales and specification of CCR solutions
- Pipeline management and follow-up
- Proactive approach to the market
The candidate should have a relevant technical education such as mechanical engineering or similar. A business education is a plus. A good knowledge of business and sales project management is essential.
Practical experience:
The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of experience in the refrigeration or HVAC related industry and understands what it takes to work with technical project sales within an industrial and heat pump environment. The candidate should be able to document a focus on sales, including the development and retention of customer relationships. Experience with CO2 refrigerant cooling is a clear advantage.
