Reporting Specialist

The position

The Reporting Specialist will further strengthen and improve the Statutory reporting function within the organization. He or she will manage the statutory reporting activities and ensure that all reporting requirements for the seven administrations will be applied.

The Reporting Specialist is part of the team of 15 persons in the Finance & Procurement Department, which is responsible for all control, accounting, procurement, audit, treasury, and tax activities.

Challenging opportunities include managing and improving the Annual Reporting Cycle, coordination between the internal and external stakeholders, and managing the relation with the internal and external auditors. The Reporting Specialist will also deal with the improvement and maintenance of the IFRS framework and cash accounting reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as corporation tax management.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the statutory reporting function within Invest International.
• Manage the various financial audits, both IFRS Annual accounts and Annual report.
• Maintain and improve the IFRS compliance in financial reporting.
• Manage and prepare the consolidation of the financial statements and the Annual report.
• Prepare and manage the bi-yearly reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Manage the company’s tax governance and integrity.
• Drive the External Audit tender together with Procurement.
• Team member of the CSRD and EU taxonomy project group.
• Support in the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle.
• Work positively and pro-actively with other Controllers.
• Safeguard Invest International values in its activities.

Requirements

• Strong affinity with the mission and vision of Invest International.
• Master’s degree in relevant field.
• A solid background in financial control and auditing.
• Knowledge of IFRS; knowledge about subsidies and grants is an advantage.
• Ability to build up the financial control function with a tactical view.
• Strong capabilities in applying business initiatives into accounting requirements.
• Ability to understand new environments swiftly.
• Positive mindset and high energy level.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Political and administrative sensitivity.
• Analytical, stakeholder-focused, with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch is a plus.

• Salary scale 17, indicating a salary level between EUR 85k and EUR 110k gross per year.
