This broad role is responsible for the key HR processes of the Benelux HR team (the HR team has a scope of approx. 400 FTE). You will manage the payroll & pension process for the Netherlands (4 entities) and Belgium (2 entities). You will provide advisory support on HR policies and applicable regulations within the Benelux. You will make sure the HR administration is in absolute pristine condition; employee benefit enrollment, data quality in our HRIS (Workday), availability of hard- and softcopy HR files. You will get support on payroll and admin from our HR Assistant (not a direct report).

You will be a point of contact for all regional employees for HR related questions. You will interact naturally with the HR team to ensure the best HR service and experience for our employees.

You will report to the Regional HR Director. The HR team consists of 2 HRBPs, a Recruiter, an HR Assistant, and this vacancy. The role is based at our head office in Amsterdam, with occasional travel to other locations in the Benelux, mainly to the Botlek area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage NL and BE payroll process, providing the input to the payroll provider (ADP), checking quality of pay slips/monthly pay-out of salaries.
  2. First point of contact for employees regarding questions with relation to payroll.
  3. Liaise with payroll provider on complex questions or issue resolution.
  4. Manage payroll & pension related inquiries, such as employer declarations, proforma’s, payroll reports, “WKR”, budgeting, annual reports and analyses.
  5. Manage expat related questions and inquiries (such as 30% ruling, IND).
  6. Oversee the HR Admin processes.
  7. Support HR team with HR projects and initiatives in relation to HR regional needs.
  8. Maintain employee files (hard- and softcopy, on server and in HRIS).
  9. Manage benefit enrolment, both paper-based and via system (mainly pension and insurances).

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  2. “Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie” and/or “Vakopleiding Payroll Services”.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in processing payroll and HR administration.
  4. Experience with Workday and/or ADP is a pre.
  5. Strong knowledge of Dutch & Belgian regulations and taxations.
  6. Knowledge of Dutch & Belgian pension schemes.
  7. Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
  8. Unquestionable integrity.
  9. Ability and experience to work in a multinational matrix organization.
  10. Ability to use quantitative analysis to help drive performance improvement & decision making.
  11. Fluency in Dutch and English.
