Semiconductor chipsare fundamental to devices we use daily—from TVs and cars to the very deviceyou’re reading this on. As these chips get increasingly miniaturized,conventional measurement techniques can no longer keep up with the requiredprecision. That’s where breakthrough metrology solutions step in. The departmentthat you will be joining specializes in developing in-line tools like ScanningProbe Microscopy (SPM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) that offer theaccuracy needed for the manufacturing of advanced semiconductor devices. As aSenior SPM Developer, you’ll be at the forefront of creating innovative imagingmodes tailored for critical metrology applications.
In this role, you’llbe part of the System Engineering Department, a diverse team made up ofprofessionals from around the globe. You’ll collaborate with experts inmechatronics, signal processing, software, and applications. Being part of afast-growing scale-up company, the structure is agile, with few formalboundaries or hierarchy, driven by a shared passion for deep-tech metrologysolutions that address our clients’ most complex challenges.
- Develop and integrate novel imaging modesinto metrology products to ensure precise, fast, and reliable performancethat meets customer expectations.
- Translate customer needs into systemrequirements, leading to conceptual designs and functional prototypes.
- Drive the development and characterizationof complete instrument prototypes.
- Lead the integration of these solutionsinto final products in close collaboration with the system engineeringteam.
- Head a team of technical experts focusedon advancing SPM and AFM imaging technologies.
- Collaborate closely with the R&Ddepartment to introduce cutting-edge technologies to the market.
- Provide guidance and support to customers,as well as to internal teams, including customer service and productionoperations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and theability to lead while balancing quality, deadlines, and customersatisfaction.
- Excellent command of English, with provenleadership and mentoring capabilities in a multidisciplinary team.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Mechatronics,Physics, or a related field, with substantial experience in mechatronicsystems, mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, or opto-mechanics.
- At least 5 years of experience indeveloping SPM/AFM imaging modes from concept through application,preferably in the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Deep expertise in designing and operatingnanoscale instruments like SPM or AFM, along with a solid understanding ofthe underlying physics.
- Experience in sub-nanometer SPM/AFMmetrology, including setting up and optimizing measurements across variousapplications.
- A proven track record of designing testsetups, conducting complex experiments, and bringing prototypes tofruition.
