As a Loan Officer, you will play a critical role in pre-screening loan applications, evaluating clients' financial information, and calculating risk ratios. Your responsibilities will include reviewing loan requests, assisting customers by answering questions and responding to requests, and assessing clients' financial status. Utilizing professional judgment, you will determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization, evaluate creditworthiness and risks, and contact clients to gather necessary financial data and documentation.
Job Description:- Pre-screening loan applications
- Evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios
- Review loan requests
- Helps customers by answering questions; responding to requests.
- Assess clients’ financial status
- Utilize professional judgment to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization
- Evaluate creditworthiness and risks
- Contact clients to gather financial data and documentation
- Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests
- Calculate financial ratios (e.g. Credit scores and interest rates)
- Set up payment plans
- Maintain updated records of loan applications
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential
- Follow up with clients about loan renewals
- Monitor progress of existing loans
- Prepare reports as maybe required
- Preferably with work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan/Account Officer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products
- Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and a mind for numbers
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communications and customer service skills
- At least 1 year(s)
