The purpose of this job is to support the growth of our projects business through offering design and engineering services as part of evaluating and scoping new project requirements and specifications. Consequently, you are responsible for creating and coordinating BIM models for projects under the guidance of the BIM Manager. In addition, you will produce and export drawings for implementation on site, visit sites to ensure best practices, and undertake "as built" surveys as well as liaising with the site teams to ensure IFC drawings are being followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination and construction issue drawings
- Supporting projects with implementing 3D coordination
- Working with the BIM manager to assist in any drawing-related support required for projects
- Writing BIM (digital) strategies and BIM execution plans (for bids and live projects)
- Visiting sites to validate and check implementation of drawings by the site teams
- Training on the use of the 3D camera under the guidance of the BIM manager
Education:
- College qualification is required; previous work placements would be an advantage
- Initial experience in the Data Centre or any other critical environment would be a plus
- Good understanding of a BIM role in general
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD
- Broad understanding of construction methods for M&E services
- Present with confidence
