Our 10-week internship programme in Amsterdam is your chance to experience life as a trader at IMC. As a Trader Intern, you will delve into the proprietary trading landscape during the first week of engaging and challenging classroom-based learning. You will have the opportunity hone your skills and apply what you’ve learned with a meaningful project and weekly trading challenges. Throughout the summer, you will receive comprehensive support from dedicated internship trainers, and a one-on-one mentor to guide you in your work and professional development. In our collaborative office environment, you will build a valuable network of IMC traders and engineers. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new trading strategies
- Iterate current trading strategies
- Work on tooling, functionality, and/or visibility for specific use cases
- Hone your trading skills by working on a relevant project, shadowing different trading desks, and participating in competitive simulated trading sessions
- Attend workshops, presentations, trainings, and social activities alongside the full internship cohort
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- In your penultimate year of study in mathematics, physics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field graduating in 2027
- Experience in a programming language is a plus (e.g. Python, Matlab, or R)
- You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded
- You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
- Must be able to start the internship on June 22, 2026
