Data Center Facility Engineer

Are you a hands‑on technical professional with a background in electrical or cooling systems? Our client, the largest regional data center provider in the Netherlands, is looking for Technical Facility Engineers to help maintain operational continuity at their data centers in the northern region.

Our client operates 13 data centers across the Netherlands and is recognized as the market leader in regional data center services. For their facilities in the northern region, we are seeking skilled and proactive Data Center Facility Engineers to support daily operations and ensure reliability, security, and uptime.

In this role, you will work closely with the Technical Facility Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of critical infrastructure. The data centers are equipped with high‑value, redundant systems for power, cooling, and security, designed to deliver uninterrupted services to clients. You will be part of a clean, tightly controlled working environment where safety and operational excellence are key.

As part of this role, you will also work on‑call shifts.

Your day‑to‑day tasks will focus on maintenance and technical oversight, including:

• Performing minor structural and building‑related maintenance
• Maintaining and supporting cooling systems (air, cooling water, chilled water)
• Handling electrical systems including mains/emergency power, UPS units, pumps, and power supplies
• Diagnosing and addressing issues related to measurement and control technology (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.)
• Supervising and verifying work performed by external contractors during major maintenance tasks
• You’ll need to be technically competent, a strong communicator, and capable of working independently. This is a dynamic role that requires problem‑solving skills, flexibility, and forward‑thinking approach to operational support in a high‑tech environment.

• MBO‑level education (or equivalent), preferably with a background in electrical engineering (Stipel certification preferred)
• Solid experience with electrical and mechanical installations
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues, including during on‑call duties
• Good command of both Dutch and English
• Possession of a valid driver’s license (B) and access to your own transport
• Preferably holds certifications such as VCA VOL, CDCP, or CDCS
• Must not have electronic implants due to work near high‑voltage transformers and power generators
• Fluency in Dutch and English is a MUST
