Senior Reward Manager - Netherlands, France & Belgium in the Netherlands
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for designing, developing and activating total reward programs and policies for 3 of our business group led countries – Netherlands, Belgium and France. You will provide business insight and develop flexible and innovative solutions with risk analysis. You will be an expert offering insights and challenge while delivering solutions flawlessly.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Report to the Reward Business Partner Lead (Europe, PTAB, Israel) and manage responsibilities covering the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The role sits within the Country LT.
- Develop and deliver a multi-year strategy which drives the evolution of compensation and benefits in the Netherlands, Belgium and France geographies.
- Manage the Annual Pay Review process (pay, bonus and shares) for the Netherlands, Belgium and France, ensuring internal and external audit compliance.
- Analyze annual benchmarking recommendations from Global Reward to inform market review budgets and payscale movements, considering financial implications and competitiveness.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements such as EU Pay Transparency for the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
- Manage other reporting requirements (e.g., living wage annual review) for the three countries as part of the global process.
- Provide counsel to Human Resources on compensation and benefits, including as the escalation point for queries on reward policy and processes.
- Stay up to date with standards, legislative/regulatory changes and other policy developments, processes and tools impacting reward.
- Lead on Reward projects for the three countries.
- Develop and implement local reward communication framework and lead Reward training to HR and the business on compensation and benefit policies and programs.
- Lead and manage local benefits including supplier relationships, ensuring compliance to Unilever standards and implementing new benefits to attract and retain talent.
- Support and manage auditing and reporting requirements for Reward processes to remain compliant.
- Collaborate with the Global Reward team on global/regional projects and participate in Reward community discussions as required.
- Engage with external reward networks within Europe to stay current with market changes.
- Line management of one direct report plus access to a team of Reward Specialists across Europe.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Proven ability to communicate with employee representative groups; negotiation with representatives is not required.
- Senior reward experience (preferably in FMCG) with knowledge of reward structure, salary review processes and experience with salary surveys (Hay & Mercer preferred).
- Experience leading key projects in a Reward position and partnering at senior levels.
- Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
- Strong communication and presentation skills appropriate for target audiences (in person or virtual).
- Fluent English (oral and written); Dutch and/or French would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and maintain high quality and accuracy.
- Team player with ability to build relationships across internal/external stakeholders in an international/virtual environment; willingness to contribute to Global Reward priority projects.
- Demonstrates initiative, good judgement and resourcefulness; maintains professionalism and integrity with handling personal data within legal requirements.
- Knowledge/experience with Agile working methodologies is helpful but not mandatory.
