Job Description

System Migration

• Support the Oracle Cloud migration through testing, data validation, analysis, issue resolution, and process alignment.
• Document processes, configurations, and controls where limited documentation currently exists.
• Collaborate across Finance and IT teams to ensure accurate and smooth migration of financial data and workflows.

Accounting, Reporting, and Controls

• Execute balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, identify issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain the general ledger structure including account creation, mapping updates, corrections, and data quality improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities with accurate and timely reporting deliverables.
• Assist with the preparation of Financial Statements under Dutch GAAP.

Audit and Compliance

• Support internal and external audits by preparing evidence, documentation, and explanations.
• Develop and maintain accounting process documentation, policies, and control descriptions.
• Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and contribute to strengthening the control environment.

Process Improvements

• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in current processes and propose practical improvements.
• Help standardize and streamline workflows across the Finance organization.
• Contribute to shaping the future state of processes aligned with the new Oracle Cloud environment.

Other Responsibilities

• Support ad hoc analyses and reporting for management.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders in an international and complex organization.
• Respect governance and hierarchical structures while maintaining a proactive communication style.

The Successful Applicant Candidate Profile Professional Background

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Accounting role, preferably within an international or complex organization.
• Strong hands‑on experience with MS Excel, VBA, SQL, and BI tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch GAAP.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or capital markets.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and their accounting treatment.
• Big Four experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with ERP transformations or cloud system migrations (Oracle Cloud preferred).
