Logistics and Supply Chain Officer at Stolt Tankers is a specialized position. You are responsible for the logistics of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operating), facility and consumer goods, as well as services for your own tankers.

Vacature

As a Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist, you will monitor, guarantee, and optimize an efficient and effective internal and external supply chain for a diverse range of goods, supplies, and services for the fleet of chemical parcel tankers. You will optimize processes related to quality, purchasing, logistics, and efficiency to ensure excellent performance for internal customers. A thorough understanding of Stolt-Nielsen's network, harbors, warehouses, and customs procedures is essential. You should also be familiar with ports that are easier to use compared to others. Constantly seeking smart solutions and maintaining optimal client and vendor relations are key. The division operates in a dynamic, worldwide environment.

You will report to the Procurement Manager.

Key responsibilities of Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist

• Proactively monitor the supply chain through performance measures and initiate impactful improvements based on data analysis.
• Analyze underperforming areas such as missed delivery times, routing issues, supplier performance, customs, and clearance problems.
• Manage projects applying a total cost of ownership approach.
• Perform contract analysis, monitor delivery against price and service level agreements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
• Identify opportunities for more cost-efficient logistics through continuous improvement.
• Assist in defining Stolt Tankers' logistics strategy.

Function requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a logistics role.
• Experience in the maritime industry.
• Practical and analytical mindset.
• Hands-on mentality.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with experience managing stakeholder interests.

Stolt Tankers, part of Stolt-Nielsen's divisions, specializes in transporting chemicals and other liquid bulk materials, representing over half of the group's turnover. They operate terminals in Houston, Manila, Singapore, and Rotterdam, employ 5,000 people across 30 countries, and own the world's largest chemical parcel tanker fleet with 150 tankers. The headquarters is in Rotterdam, where you will work, based in the historic Veerhaven area within a professional team.

Working conditions

This is an independent position with significant responsibility, offering room for personal development. The role is based in Rotterdam with the option to work from home two days a week. The position is 37.5 hours per week.

• A competitive salary between €4,400 and €5,000 gross per month, plus a 13th month, depending on experience.
