Functieomschrijving: The company is a small but growing consultancy firm specializing in integrated water management, geohydrology, and ecohydrology. Due to an expanding order book, we are seeking a new hydrologist to join our team.
As a hydrologist, you will: carry out (partial) assignments for clients, primarily in rural areas but also in urban settings. Your role involves contributing to projects related to area (re)development, stream restoration, and urban development. Your main focus will be on hydrological issues such as desiccation, flooding, and redevelopment of urban and rural areas. You will be involved in creating model calculations for surface water (using SOBEK) and reporting results, translating knowledge into practical, appropriate, and integral solutions for clients to implement.
Gevraagd wordt: We seek a passionate, ambitious colleague who fits well within a (young) team. To qualify, you need:
- A completed HBO/WO education in hydrology or water management.
- Preferably several years of experience in hydrology, water management, and surface water modelling (especially SOBEK).
- Preferably experience with hydrological advice in both rural and urban contexts.
- A practical approach and a willingness to look beyond your immediate field.
- Commitment to quality over quantity; client satisfaction is key.
- Team spirit and enjoyment of working collaboratively in a project team.
