Job Description

To start with, the position ofLearning & Development Manager IHQ & NL is part of the IHQ & NL Talent Centre of Excellence (COE) team. The overall IHQ & NL talent team is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development (L&D), and employability for our Global HQ (IHQ) and our NL entity.

An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. As a Learning & Development Manager IHQ & NL, you will be asked to develop and implement an IHQ & NL talent Learning & Development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future. You will also be the subject matter expert and will work closely with your HR, Business and Global and Regional L&D colleagues.

For this, we need you to be a knowledgeable professional who relies on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. You’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Develop and implement an IHQ & NL talent development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future.
  • Develop strong connections and work closely with the Global Talent COE and Regions Talent COE’s, sharing and learning best practices with L&D managers from other regions/countries.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver programs which effectively support and enhance strategic objectives and reinforce the company's mission and culture.
  • Provide input to the Global Talent team to ensure regional needs are recognized and considered in global programs.
  • Work closely with the HR team and Managers throughout NL & IHQ to identify talent requirements.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to the business on talent and development topics.
  • Stay updated on trends in learning and talent management and continuously develop a knowledge base of concepts, models and approaches.
  • Creatively design and deliver modern learning programs and experiences in a variety of formats including self-directed, instructor-led, digital, networking, mentoring, integrated to the flow of work, ‘train the trainer’ and blended approaches.
  • Initiate and lead projects for improving processes, tools, and systems for learning & development and be part of Global/Regional projects.
  • Assess the success of development initiatives to drive improvement in key L&D metrics.
  • Provide ongoing reporting and data on training uptake, knowledge transfer, associate learning experience, business impact and return on investment to inform decision making.
Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a drive for excellence. Someone who holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role, we feel it's important for you to have strong L&D expertise as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. To give you a bit of guidance, here’s our “nice to have” list:

  • 10+ years of experience in HR, mainly in L&D;
  • Experience working within an international/regional/local environment;
  • Experience in a complex matrix organization serving a wide population from executive to blue collar;
  • Knowledge of the talent process like Performance evaluation, Talent Management, and Succession Planning;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Can-do mentality and results-driven;
  • Excellent intercultural and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
