We are looking for a motivated SOC Security Consultant for our client’s IT Security team.
- Working with external MSSP on defining and refining the requirements, configuration controls and coordinated response to alerts of the SIEM.
- Perform security controls (e.g. On user management, network protection and monitoring, vulnerability management).
- Guide and advise information security engineers on effective implementation of security tooling to enable security monitoring.
- Contribute and update information security procedures and controls in line with industry regulations, best practices, and client’s risk management and compliance programs.
- Provide expert guidance and support on information security matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of security controls.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and industry regulations to continually improve client’s security posture and contribute to information security projects.
International organization active in the energy field with its main location (for this role) in Amsterdam.
- Ability to keep track, organize your own work, set timelines, targets and report on them.
- Able to work independently on analyzing potential solutions, comparing them and advising on choice(s) based on criteria.
- Able to communicate and work with different teams/persons across several countries.
- Good capacity to make thorough analyses, document criteria, pros and cons and potential choices.
- Knowledge/experience with SIEM solution(s)/Darktrace/Carbon Black is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in the field of information security (CEH, EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst, or ISC2-CCSP) is a plus.
- Experience with industry standards and regulations ISO/IEC2700x, NIST CSF, KRITIS, GDPR is a plus.

EDUCATION
- Master program/degree with a Technical University with specialization in Computer Engineering/Software/Electronics.
- Knowledge of energy companies, their risk, security and/or regulatory environment is an advantage.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Fluent English (written and verbal) is mandatory (working language).
- Good knowledge and understanding of French (written and verbal) will be a big plus.
EXPERIENCE
- Prior similar position(s) with an Energy company will be an advantage.
