Information Security Engineer

Permanent at the client’s company • 36–40 hours • Hybrid working environment • Location: Rotterdam

• Security Risk Management: Identify vulnerabilities across the systems and develop strategies to mitigate the vulnerabilities and risks. Conduct regular risk assessments.
• Incident response: In case an incident happens you’re the one that will coordinate the response with the team. Maintain the incident response plan and adjust where needed.
• Compliance: Focus on staying compliant with ISO requirements in collaboration with the legal and compliance teams. The client is ISO 27001 certified.
• Collaboration: Partner with engineering colleagues and product teams to integrate security best practices into new and existing systems. You’ll be part of a small but ambitious technology department consisting of around 14 engineers spread across three teams. The role reports to the Head of Engineering.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 4 years in IT with demonstrable expertise in managing risks and security incidents.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001, plus expertise in vulnerability assessment and compliance regulations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and integrating security into development workflows.
• Strong ability to evaluate complex issues and design practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal skills, with the confidence to influence and educate stakeholders.

• A gross salary ranging from €4,000 to €6,600 per month
• 8% holiday pay
