Engineer Configuration Management

We are currently seeking a creative engineer who can take responsibility for designing configuration management processes for shipbuilding projects. If you have relevant work experience and are looking for a dynamic working environment, keep reading!

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining configuration management (CM) processes across shipbuilding projects. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers to ensure data consistency, traceability and process compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Define and execute Configuration Management Plans for complex maritime projects.
• Establish and maintain product structures, document lists, and controlled environments within the PDM/PLM system (preferably 3DX).
• Validate technical data exchanged with customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate and control configuration changes across engineering, production and quality teams.
• Guide project teams on configuration management principles and best practices.
• Continuously improve CM processes and contribute to future-proof strategies.
• Ensure documentation control and data integrity across all project phases.
• Act as the key point of contact for CM matters within project environments.

• Having a Bachelor or Master degree in engineering.
• Affinity with high-end engineering processes in shipbuilding or in another relevant industry.
• A good understanding of Systems Engineering and Configuration Management principles.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems (3DX experience is a strong advantage).
• Able to define processes, documenting them meticulously, while maintaining a broad perspective.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
