About the roleWe are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Datacenter Engineer with expertise in storage and backups to join our team. As an Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing storage and backup solutions for our clients, ensuring the security and availability of their data.
Key responsibilities- Design and implement scalable and reliable storage architectures, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and timely restoration in case of system failures or data loss.
- Configure and optimize backup software and hardware solutions, including disk and cloud-based backup services.
- Monitor storage systems and backups to identify performance issues, capacity constraints, and potential risks, and take proactive measures to address them.
- Conduct regular backup testing and verification to ensure the recoverability of data and maintain backup documentation and procedures.
- Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for storage and backup-related issues, working closely with internal teams to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, and create technical reports and presentations as needed.
