What will you do?As a Procurement Manager you will:
- Handle global – high value - procurement process for raw materials, parts, and subcontracted fabrication across engineering projects.
- Identify strategic procurement needs and provide input during the sales process on costs, capacity, and sourcing options.
- Build and maintain a worldwide supplier and subcontractor network, managing RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, purchase orders, contracts, invoicing, and close‑out.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management to ensure goods are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications and quality standards.
- Consolidate procurement activities across the company to optimize the supplier base and reduce costs.
- Drive vendor performance management, including supplier development, engagement, and disengagement, in cooperation with engineering, quality control, project management, and sales.
- Act as a trusted partner in procurement‑related matters, maximizing value creation through competitive advantages and best‑in‑class sourcing solutions.
What do we need from you?
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, plus at least 5 years of experience in project procurement (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven track record in global procurement within Engineer-to-Order or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies, particularly fabrication of steel structures and components.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex analyses simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation, planning, and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, with the ability to build trust and resolve issues effectively.
- A proactive team player with a bias for action and the drive to complete projects successfully.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–25%) and to work from the Nunspeet office at least 3 days per week.
